- Website URLs and favicons: Used to display saved links clearly with website icons and page information.
- User settings: Used to save categories, tags, colors, layout preferences, reminder settings, and extension preferences.
- Trial and license status: Used to verify the 7-day free trial and premium access through ExtensionPay.
2. How Information Is Used
The extension uses information only to provide bookmark management features, including:
- Saving and organizing bookmarks
- Creating categories and tags
- Searching and filtering bookmarks
- Showing bookmark statistics
- Detecting duplicate or previously visited links
- Showing reminder notifications
- Verifying free trial and premium license status
3. Data Storage
Bookmark Manager stores extension settings and bookmark organization data locally using Chrome storage. This may include categories, tags, colors, layout position, preferences, filters, and reminder settings.
4. Payment and Free Trial
Bookmark Manager may use ExtensionPay to manage the 7-day free trial, subscription status, upgrade flow, and license verification. Payment processing is handled by ExtensionPay and/or its payment providers. Bookmark Manager does not directly collect or store credit card numbers or full payment details.
5. Data Sharing
Bookmark Manager does not sell user data. The extension does not share bookmark data or browsing history with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
The extension may connect to ExtensionPay only for trial, payment, and license verification.
6. Remote Code
Bookmark Manager does not load or execute remote JavaScript code. All extension code is included locally inside the Chrome extension package. External requests, such as license verification, are not used to load or run remote code.
7. Permissions
The extension may request permissions such as:
- bookmarks: To manage user bookmarks.
- storage: To save settings and organization data.
- history: To support recently visited links, statistics, and duplicate detection.
- favicon: To show website icons beside bookmarks.
- contextMenus: To allow quick saving through the right-click menu.
- scripting: To display the bookmark manager interface on supported web pages.
- alarms and notifications: To support bookmark reminders.
- offscreen: To support reminder sounds and background reminder tasks.
- host permissions: To allow the extension interface to work on supported websites and to verify trial/license status.
8. User Control
Users can manage or remove extension data by changing settings inside the extension, clearing Chrome extension storage, or uninstalling the extension from Chrome.
9. Children's Privacy
Bookmark Manager is not designed to collect personal information from children. The extension is intended for general bookmark management use.
